Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of BISUOne, the enrollment and campus services application of Bohol Island State University, Candijay Campus (“BISU Candijay”, “the University”), including its website and mobile app (together, “the Service”).

By signing in to or otherwise using the Service you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

BISUOne helps students and campus offices manage enrollment. Depending on your role, it lets you:

• submit and track enrollment requirements and see their approval status;
• follow your queue number and status at each campus office;
• read campus announcements and take part in comments and reactions;
• view your digital campus ID and keep your identification details up to date.

Features may be added, changed, or removed as the Service develops. Some features may be marked “coming soon” and are not yet available.

The Service is for BISU Candijay students, faculty, staff, and authorized University personnel. Accounts are created or approved by the University and are personal to you.

• Keep your username and password confidential and do not share them with anyone, including classmates or staff.
• You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
• If you suspect someone else has used your account, change your password and tell the MIS Office immediately at [email protected].
• Do not use another person’s account or pretend to be someone else.

You must provide true, complete, and current information and submit only genuine documents. Falsified or altered documents, or false information, may lead to rejection of your application and to disciplinary action under University rules and applicable law.

The Service displays the status recorded by the University’s offices. Using the Service does not by itself enroll you or guarantee admission, approval, or any particular outcome. Approval of requirements and enrollment is decided by the responsible offices under University policy.

Queue numbers, statuses, and waiting-time indications are provided for convenience and may change, for example when a turn is skipped or expires. The University’s official records remain the basis for any dispute.

When using the Service you agree not to:

• break any law or University rule, or help anyone else do so;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems, or probe or test their security;
• interfere with or overload the Service, or use bots or scripts to scrape or automate it;
• upload malware or content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene, or infringes someone’s rights;
• misuse the queue, for example by registering for someone else or holding turns you do not intend to use.

Announcements are posted by authorized offices. If you post a comment or upload a file, you are responsible for it and confirm you have the right to share it. Keep contributions respectful and relevant.

The University may remove content and restrict posting where it breaks these Terms or University policy. By posting, you allow the University to display your content within the Service for the purposes described here.

To produce your campus ID, the University uses the photo and signature you or the ID office provide, together with your name, course, and student number. The ID card is University property, is non-transferable, and must be surrendered upon graduation or when transferring to another school.

Report a lost or stolen ID to the ID office promptly so it can be deactivated and replaced.

How we handle personal information is described in our Data Privacy Notice, which follows the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). Our use of cookies is explained in the Cookie Policy. Both form part of these Terms.

We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. It may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may update the website and the Android app (APK) from time to time, and older versions may stop working.

The name, logos, and seal of Bohol Island State University, the BISUOne name and branding, and the software and design of the Service belong to the University or its licensors. You may use the Service for its intended purpose but may not copy, modify, or redistribute it or its branding without written permission.

The University may suspend or end access to the Service, with or without notice, if you break these Terms, put the Service or other users at risk, or where required by University policy or law. You may stop using the Service at any time. Some records must be kept under University and legal requirements even after access ends.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, the University is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including delays caused by outages, network problems, or events outside its control. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. If you keep using the Service after an update takes effect, you accept the revised Terms.
